I can’t really recall ever as a child having a dream as to what I want to be. I think the ideas of being coming a teacher just fell into place.
I have a younger brother that is 7 years younger than me and I was the one that was responsible for walking him home from school and taking care of him. So I was always the one around him. I didn’t really like it but I had no other choice. He just always seemed to be there.
As I got older I started getting babysitting jobs and my first real job was a community centre where I just happen to be the one responsible for running the children’s program.
In high school I did a coop placement in a nursery school and I loved it. I think at that point that is when I had my first dream as to what I wanted to be. That dream was accomplished but not without some setbacks and disappointment, but all those setbacks made me who I am today and I and a better person. For that I am truly grateful.
